The Gods were unnamed and Unnumbered. However there were two in particular, Who like any Supreme Deity were revealed eternal, all powerful and Omnipotent and loving. They created to rich world and filled it with life and magic as well as specifically the Golden city of El Dorado, a paradise on earth for the living to enjoy.

But there were other Mesoamerican false gods, demaning blood sacrifice in the rituals to herald the '''year of the jaguar'''. Tzekal Kan was a fanatic who believed these prophciess closely. Miguel and Tulio's arrived was believed to be that of the gods. To most believed the gods good, a blessing was seen. But to Tzekal Kan it was the time of murderous '' purification''. Realizing the ''Gods'' was false he used dark magic to bring a jaguar statue to life, reaping havoc in the city, leading to his supposed demise.

Later, Cortez discovered Tzekal Kan who saw him as the ''true'' dark sacrifice god after a filed attempt to enter the city to kill the civilians, after Miguel and Tulio destroyed the gate to El dorado (resulting in the loss of all of their gold). He was dragged away to unknown destiny, leaving our heroes to ride triumphantly into the sunset.

Besides the opening credits, the gods are not physically seen again through out the movie.

Trivia[]

  • The twin gods who are shown in the opening are most likely a reference to the dual supreme divinity of Aztec Mythology, "Ōmeteōtl".
